"Chronicle" put director Josh Trank on the map, thus lining him up to direct last year's poorly received "Fantastic Four," which Trank all but disavowed after studio meddling. (Trank was also set to direct a standalone "Star Wars" film set for release in 2018 but was reportedly fired from the project.) Drake, meanwhile, will always be known to "Degrassi" fans as Jimmy Brooks, star basketball player who eventually gets confined to a wheelchair after a school shooting. Ah, Jimmy! Ah, humanity!
